Drills
25001 products

Tool Mart Supply stocks more than 43,000 drill bits for metalworking — from micro and screw-machine sizes up to heavy taper-length drills — with full specifications on every tool: point angle, coating, flute length, shank type and decimal equivalent, so you can match the print instead of guessing.
Choosing the right drill
- Length: stub (screw-machine) drills are the most rigid choice and the default on CNC machines; jobber length is the general-purpose standard; taper and extra-length drills reach deep holes but want reduced feeds.
- Material: HSS handles general work in mild steel and aluminum. Cobalt (M35/M42) runs hotter and lasts longer in stainless and harder alloys. Solid carbide gives the best tool life and hole quality on rigid setups.
- Point: a 135° split point self-centers and resists walking — worth it on CNC and hand drilling alike; a 118° conventional point suits softer materials.
- Coating: black oxide for economy, TiN for general use, AlTiN/TiAlN where heat builds — dry machining and stainless.
Brands machinists actually run
The catalog includes Guhring, Precision Twist Drill, Cleveland, Chicago-Latrobe, Walter-Titex, OSG, Kennametal, M.A. Ford, Accupro and Fullerton, among others. Start from spotting and center drills for accurate hole starts, and move to reamers when the print calls for a tighter finished tolerance than a drill can hold.
Every product page lists complete specs, and the stock-check link on each product lets you confirm availability and ship time before you commit to an order.
